Ross spent a decade as a tax specialist at Touche Ross / Deloitte. That experience gave him a detailed knowledge of UK, US and international tax for both individuals and businesses.

Awareness of the legal environment

After Touche Ross / Deloitte Ross worked as an in-house tax and accounting expert for leading firm of City lawyers. While he is not a lawyer, this background has given him clearer insight into the legal documents and structures his clients may encounter.

Entrepreneurialism, private practice and Hillier Hopkins

Ross left the law firm to set up his own private practice. He started out with just one client and the business went from strength to strength over the course of the next 12 years. This entrepreneurial mindset means he is well-placed to advise clients who are also setting up or growing a business.

The private practice merged with Hillier Hopkins in 2006. Ross now works as a consultant to Hillier Hopkins and is the founder and director of its sister companies, Satis Tax and Satis Wealth Management.
